In order to broaden the new platform of school-enterprise cooperation, guide students to establish a correct concept of career selection and employment, and clarify the direction of career development, on April 10, 2023, Chen Lili, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Management & Engineering of Nanjing University, Li Xiaozhi and Chai Zhao, counselors of the School, led more than 20 students from the School to CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch to participate in the open day of CITIC Securities.

01 Introduction to the company
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Wu Ninghui, Deputy General Manager of CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch, delivered a speech to welcome the teachers and students who attended the school's open day. In his speech, Mr. Wu introduced CITIC Capital's corporate mission of "gathering talents, serving clients, creating value and rewarding society" and its corporate sentiment of being a great nation. When discussing the current development of the financial industry, Mr. Wu analyzed the profound changes brought about by digitalization and artificial intelligence, and suggested that the financial industry needs talents with innovation and social intelligence, offering valuable advice to students for their future development.

Chen Lili, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management & Engineering of Nanjing University, then delivered a speech. On behalf of the School of Management & Engineering, she thanked CITIC Capital Securities Jiangsu Branch for their warm reception and elaborate arrangements, which allowed the students to broaden their horizons and experience the corporate culture of CITIC Capital in the field. She also expressed her hope that the students would take the opportunity to learn more about the financial industry and CITIC Capital, to understand the needs of society and enterprises, and to explore their future career path.

Then, Xu Linying, an alumnus of Nanjing University and HR manager of CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch, made a recruitment presentation. She gave an overall introduction of CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch from the perspectives of company overview, recruitment positions, recruitment channels and corporate talent needs. Based on her own work experience and employment experience, she shared with the students her views on the question of "what kind of job is a good job", emphasising that "love" is an important factor in career selection.

02 Alumni Sharing
In the alumni sharing session, Nanjing University alumni Zhou Jin, Zheng Ling and Zhou Jianpeng shared their work experience and insights with students at CITIC Capital Securities Jiangsu Branch.
Zhou Jin works in the Investment Banking Committee of CITIC CIB's Jiangsu Branch and is involved in bond business. He first introduced the investment banking business of CCBI Jiangsu Branch, as well as the business processes and operations of the debt business. Combining his own experience, he introduced the students to the career skills required for investment banking and their career paths, and summed up the excellent qualities required of financial industry practitioners in six words: "professionalism, sincerity and reliability". He said that this is in line with CITIC Capital's principle of "steady and steady to the end", as well as Nanjing University's motto of "Sincerity, simplicity, majesty, inspiration and commitment".

Zheng Ling works in the Wealth Management Department of CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch as the Manager of the Zhenjiang Sales Department. She introduces the career path of securities brokerage and brokerage business lines, and talks about the importance of personal career planning, taking into account her own growth experience in CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch. According to her, the purpose of the brokerage business is to achieve asset preservation and appreciation, and requires a holistic view of the market. In terms of career planning, she advised students to understand themselves comprehensively, discover their comparative advantages and clarify their career development intentions as early as possible.

Zhou Jianpeng works in the Investment Banking Committee of CITIC CIB's Jiangsu Branch and is engaged in equity business. He introduced the equity business of CITIC CIB's Jiangsu branch and presented the company's business results and data to show the importance of CITIC CIB's investment banking business in helping to allocate resources to the national industry, promoting the development of the financial market and realising the strategic development of enterprises.

In the interactive session afterwards, students actively expressed their ideas and asked the seniors of CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch for advice on professional issues such as the impact of the full registration system on China's capital market, the opportunities and challenges facing the financial industry in the era of artificial intelligence, as well as how to improve their professional skills and knowledge and how to deal with career development issues such as examinations and internships, broadening their horizons and gaining valuable experience at the same time.

The school-enterprise open day of CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch & School of Management & Engineering of Nanjing University was successfully held, which not only helped students understand the development of CITIC Securities Jiangsu Branch and its leading position in the financial industry, but also provided students with the opportunity to communicate with industry professionals face-to-face, helping them to experience the corporate atmosphere, feel the corporate culture and enhance their awareness of career planning. In the future, the School of Management & Engineering will continue to implement the guidance of "educating people for the Party and the country" to help students develop their industry vision, understand industry hotspots, better position themselves and plan their career development, and promote the quality of student employment to a higher level.
