Invited by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), the Chinese Delegation and the China Satellite Navigation Office (CSNO) jointly organize the China Ancient Navigation Exhibition in the Annular Hall of Vienna International Centre, and donate some of exhibits to UNOOSA. More than eighty delegates including H.E. Wang Qun, the Chinese permanent representative to the UN in Vienna, Vice Director Hu Bin of Department of Articles and Laws in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Director Simonetta Di Pippen of UNOOSA, Vice Director Ma Jiaqing of CSNO, and delegates of China National Space Administration (CNSA), representatives of satellite navigation providers from USA and Russia attended the opening ceremony of the Exhibition and the donation ceremony of the exhibits on 11st, June.
The 10th China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC) was held in Beijing on May 22nd, 2019. With a theme of “Navigation, Ten Years and Beyond”, the conference systematically displays the achievements of the past decade, firmly grasps the current opportunities, and comprehensively discusses the development prospects. “Born to BeiDou, growing up with BeiDou”, after ten years of development, the conference has been held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Xi’an, Changsha, Harbin and so on. It has promoted the integrated development of satellite navigation technologies and the rapid development of the local BDS industries.
The 44th BDS satellite was successfully launched onboard a Long March 3B rocket from Xichang Satellite Launch Center at 22:41 on April 20th, 2019. This is the first BDS satellite launch in 2019, which marks the beginning of the intensive campaign of the BDS constellation deployment.
